A guide to hiring staff

NOTE I am an experienced game and minecraft server owner. Please take my word for it as I have hired tons of staff in my time. From 6 years ago when I was 9 or from 1 day ago when I recruited the newest mod for /ad msc. This will be a full guide on traits, application and more

CHAPTER 1: Mental disorders

I feel really bad saying this, but someone with a mental disorder such as autism spectrum, Down syndrome, or anything that can impact: intelligence, social skills, decision making, etc should not be hired. I really hate saying this as it ruins my heart considering I have a special needs little sister. Unfortunately, the sad truth is you can’t be inclusive in this scenario.

NOTE I am not saying to shame these people, try to support them. Maybe give them a rank, you should have an inclusive server but just, if you are in a high position. You cant fit in this category. I am truely sorry if I have offended anyone but it is the hard truth of this

EXCEPTION For non-permission positions such as helper or permanent trial mod.

CHAPTER 2: Personality

First, people who are considered annoying to more than you, this could be most staff, a lot of server members or all in all is just annoying, should not be accepted.

Toxic people: Under no circumstance should a toxic player be added to your staff team (refer below). These people upset the community and can bring hate to the game.
Annoying people: You want your staff to be able to handle being social, if they are annoying or have an annoying, kiddish, or skiddish personality. This is not a position for them. Do not accept them

TOXICITY DEFINITION A toxic person is anyone whose behavior adds negativity and upset to you or someone else’s experience . Many times, people who are toxic are dealing with their own stresses and traumas. To do this, they act in ways that don’t present them in the best light and usually upset others along the way.```

ANNOYING PERSONALITY DEFINITION Annoying people might violate various social norms, be incompatible with others, try too hard to make others laugh, or even take a phone call while in a quiet library. Did you know that you could even be the “irritating person” because you’re too positive?

CHAPTER 3: The intelligence test

Staff must be intelligent. I have seen so many idiotic staff members of games who horribly flop. Examples (users) are:

  • Siri_work2
  • Sniper_dawg
  • xfox_ytt
    and so many more

Staff who arent intelligent are like bowls in china shops. If a staff member isnt smart it is like trying to stab someone, but the knife is facing you

Here is a severe problem with idiotic staff members:
They are easy to manipulate
they interfere with normal staff business
they ruin the game experience
they can falsely punish / abuse their powers
they make the game an unwelcoming place

CHAPTER 5: Server activity

You want staff who are active, but you don’t want kids who are too active. Games with staff who are no lifers and stay on their computer 24/7 never work. Staff should only be online during an investigation or for a bit to legitimately play the game. The next issue is: People who take the job way too seriously.
Dude, you are mod for a game only (estimate) 5000 people who have ever played on. Your life isnt a movie. These people make the game unfun as they are annoying as hell for anyone who wants to play.

CHAPTER 6: Admins

Don’t directly give someone the position of an administrator. This can frequently result in abuse of power or authority. Moderator is plenty of time to see if they work well with the playerbase.

That’s it, after 3750 letters you made it to the end. I hope one day I can see your game with t
