In a survival-based Minecraft server, I think removing area claims would make the game much more fun and natural. Right now, there’s very little risk vs. reward because claimed regions prevent players from accessing or looting bases. There’s also no real excitement in exploring and finding another player’s base.
Without claims, players would have to actually protect their bases, hide their valuables, build defenses, and take risks when storing loot. Finding and raiding another base would become a meaningful part of survival gameplay.
I think removing claims would create much more risk, reward, exploration, PvP, and survival gameplay, rather than everyone simply being completely protected.
