- How do you understand the role of a moderator on the server: A moderator’s role is to enforce rules fairly & to make sure everyone follows the server’s guidelines. Around 2-3 years ago I used to catch hackers and dupers and used to report them to former Admins and Managers in Survival. I have a pretty solid understanding of the rules and how players might try to bypass them. I also believe that Helping create a friendly environment by being approachable & respectful is necessary. Mods don’t just punish, they also guide and support.
- Do you have experience as a moderator? If yes, where exactly and what were your responsibilities: I haven’t officially been appointed as a moderator on MineLand, but in the old Survival around 2-3 years ago, imperators had permissions to use /ban and /mute. I actively used these tools to mute and ban rule violators and helped maintain order on the server. Through this, I also made many friends while assisting with moderation.
- How do you usually act in controversial or conflict situations between players: I stay calm and focused on resolving the issue fairly. I try to understand both sides by listening first, without taking sides or making assumptions. If the conversation is getting heated, I separate the players into private messages to prevent further escalation. I remind everyone of the server rules and guide the discussion toward a respectful solution. If someone is clearly breaking rules such as Rule 2.1 I directly give appropriate warnings or actions based on which rule they may have violated. My main goal is to de-escalate the situation.
- What changes to the current server moderation system could have a positive impact on it: The MineLand moderation lacks English moderators, and I constantly see many players in survival violating various rules. Chat rules or exploiting bugs are constantly violated in survival and no English moderator is online to give the appropriate warnings. Moving on no one is there to solve disputes, Currently disputes often go unresolved. For example the other day I saw a player get scammed via /dice, which is bannable according to Mineland rules. The player tried to call a moderator but wasn't answered. I believe if I am appointed the role of a moderator I can make sure these type of things never happen again.
- Why do you consider yourself a suitable candidate for the role of moderator: Because of 3 simple things, I know the rules and have past experience in survival with /ban and /mute. I'm really active and could solve disputes, help players and make everyone active as I believe there's a need for English speaking moderators. I also believe there needs to be a moderator moderating survival before things get out of hand
- Briefly tell about yourself: who you are, what you are interested in, how long you have been playing on the server: My in-game name is V0ID (previously known as _midnight666_). I’ve been playing on the server for about 6 years, starting around 2018-2019. The Gamemode I’ve always been most active in is Survival, and it’s still the one I enjoy the most. I’m a calm and patient person who’s always willing to help anyone who needs it. I have a clear understanding of the server rules and try my best to set a good example while playing. I like helping people in the community, meeting new players, and keeping the server a friendly and fun place
